Fall Foliage, Day 27 - Lake Placid, New York to Smuggler’s Notch (Stowe), Vermont
This morning we took our time cleaning and packing up (including vacuuming while we were still plugged in). Then while Christian handled a minor dbinbox crisis, I filmed some videos for an upcoming post about our solar set-up.
When it came time to load the car on the tow dolly, though, the battery was completely dead and our solar panel trick didn’t work. I had left the overhead light on D:
The campground staff sent over someone with a portable battery jumper and we were soon back to business/on the road.
To cross over from New York to Vermont, we took the Essex ferry (luckily just under their 11′3″ height limit!).
Then it was only another hour or so to the Ben & Jerry’s factory in Waterbury, Vermont for a tour and samples!
We arrived at our next home - Smuggler’s Notch State Park - just before 5 PM and got settled in.
Finally we headed back to the park for an early night - we’re planning on ziplining tomorrow and want to get there in plenty of time to explore the treetop course as well.
