Fall Foliage, Day 50 - Felton, Delaware
I was woken up this morning by the sound of rain on the roof and what were apparently some very talkative squirrels outside. After bringing in the sleeping bag from the hammock, I researched our next stop (aiming for Greenbelt Park in Maryland just outside of DC) and how to make poached eggs (another approach - ap’poach’?? - to the hard-to-clean-pan problem).
Which resulted in the following breakfast salad:
Then we spent the rest of the day working, taking a break to walk around the pond a little and enjoy the relatively deserted campground before the weekenders descend.
Christian worked on a new project and I researched getting a dog, something I’ve been working on for the last couple of months. Today I took the plunge of filling out some applications. I made another spreadsheet to keep track of my estimated costs (initial fixed and recurring), and if you’re still surprised by this you don’t know me very well!
Christian made a butternut soup with the leftover roasted squash from the campfire.
