Fall Foliage, Day 53 - Felton, Delaware
This morning after waking up I did the dishes so that I could make grilled cheese for breakfast. That’s a side effect of having fewer pots/pans/plates/utensils - each one has to be washed more frequently, but they’re all getting used instead of just sitting in the cabinet. It also forces us to clean up more often because such a small space gets ‘dirty’ much faster.
Then we went for a bike ride around the park, enjoying the blanket of leaves on the ground and the views of the ‘pond.’ Seriously if this is a pond I want to see what they consider a lake! Bonus of being in an RV - you may not have your own ‘yard,’ but you get national/state parks as your yard that are maintained for you.
For dinner we cooked a hash of butternut squash, Chinese yams? (we don’t remember what they actually were), and ground turkey.
I also baked cookies to use up 2 out of 3 sticks of remaining Earth Balance - they were delicious but couldn’t quite hold their shape, probably because I used margarine instead of real butter. Or maybe because of the gluten-free flour? Or maybe because I eye-balled instead of actually measuring… they tasted good anyway :)
