Fall Foliage, Day 60 - Greenbelt, MD
On our morning walk Alfie got to see two deer AND a squirrel, so he was pretty pumped.
I also introduced him to his new Kong chew toy and did a little light brushing. He relaxed outside in the gorgeous fall weather while I blogged and caught up on email, occasionally standing guard when the birds in the brush got really noisy.
Then we ran out to Petsmart to get a peanut butter tube for filling his Kong and stopped by a farmer’s market that apparently doesn’t allow dogs.
We came back to the campground just as Christian was waking up. He made breakfast for the humans - eggs over medium, spring mix, goat cheese, avocado, and tomato.
After a little relaxation time, we headed out for a hike on one of the trails in the park.
We got back to the RV just at sunset.
We continued using up the perishables - I got creative and cooked my frozen Amy’s burrito on the stove at super low heat, which required much more patience but resulted in a nice crispy tortilla. We also used up lots of fridge food to make a soup (onion/garlic, carrots, Romaine hearts, baby spinach, chickpeas, turkey, frozen peas, tomato, and veggie/beef broth).
