Home for the Holidays, Day 19 - Luray, Virginia to Marion, Virginia
I forgot to take up Alfie’s water bowl last night, so he woke me up earlier than normal today. We had a short walk through the fog before the rest of our morning routine, including some more agility training.
I started packing up the interior while Christian had breakfast and loaded on the car, then we set out for Hungry Mother State Park (specifically Camp Burson) in Marion, Virginia. The drive was pretty uneventful, as we were basically on one highway the whole way (with no tolls, finally) and Alfie and I napped for most of the drive.
On arrival, we initially went to the wrong building to check-in, but then found our spot with no problem. Christian pan-fried some fish squares (like sticks, but square) for dinner, and we discovered that there’s quite passable wi-fi! Good enough for watching a couple shows. :D
While Christian plowed through his backlog of email, I researched and found the specific campgrounds for our next couple of stops (just outside of Knoxville and Nashville), as well as playing about 70 rounds of fetch with Alfie in the RV.
I turned in pretty early as I want plenty of time for exploring the trails etc. in the park we’re in tomorrow.
